Yatisha Patel, Final Year Dental Student, has just released a phone app on the Android system for patients. It is called Dentify and it is designed to assist patients when they have toothache. The project formed part of Yatisha’s studies and the information contained within the App is evidence based on the background and treatment of toothache. It provides practical information on what to do if a patient experience’s toothache, how to obtain pain relief and steps on contacting a dentist for treatment All the programming and researching for the App was done by Yatisha herself. Her next project is to make the App available on the iPhone platform and then to move onto other projects for mobile phone applications.
