
Birmingham dental students attended the Silver Jubilee of the European Dental Students Association in Belgrade. The congress was held in a city centre hotel and Negar Mirzai (4th Year) and Andrew Kalli (1st year) gave a presentation on the EDSA conference to be held in Birmingham prior to the ADEE meeting. In addition to the scientific content of the meeting there was an opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary with a Gala dinner held on board a floating restaurant. On Saturday, a Ceremonial reception took place at the White Palace, Royal residence hosted by their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar Karadjordjević and his wife Katherine. There were formal speeches by The Crown Prince, Professor Damien Walmsley, Secretary General of ADEE and Bogdan Lisul, Belgrade Association of Junior Dentists to be established in a months time.
