Andrew Gibson competed as part of the University Mountain Biking team and he updates us on the Blog about the recent Inter-University Competition. Andrew features in the pictures.
“Hi there, these are just some of the photos from our weekend down at Combe Sydenham. Just thought you might like a look, we went pretty hopeful of doing well as a team, and even had a chance of winning. Unfortunately we had some mechanical issues after one of our riders snapped his frame, and another exploded his rear shock. I had been riding well in practice, and looked good for a top 50 finish (350 riders were there in total), however I crashed on my race run and therefore DNF. One of our team did manage 4th though which was a really good result. It was an awesome good weekend in all though and we’re looking forward to next year where fortune will hopefully be more on our side!”
