Raj all kitted up for referring the Cup Final

Rajdeep Koner (Final Year) took a break from his finals revision to take part in refereeing a local cup final. Here is the story in Raj’s own words.

“All in all, it was a great day and I really enjoyed myself, especially the fact that I was able to be part of such an experienced refereeing team that included my Dad, ex football league referee Gurnam Singh. The game went really well with lots of end to end action, robust tackles and a great finish from Wednesfield forward Mark Morgan, who sealed the tie for his team 1-0. The crowd were fantastic and the Wolverhampton Football Combination League did a great job with organising the Cup Final. Games like this make you realise how enjoyable football refereeing can be and I really look forward to hitting the ground running next season!”
