Dental Update’s 40th Anniversary Celebration took place in the Long Room at Lords Cricket Ground on 20th June. The evening’s dress code was black tie and began with a champagne reception in the bar. Guests entered by the Grace Gate (located on St Johns Wood Road) and were directed to the pavilion by Lords staff. John Siebert and Stuart Thompson welcomed the guests at the start of the dinner. The long room looked resplendent as we enjoyed our dinner around famous paintings and icons of cricket.

The present editor Professor Trevor Burke gave the address followed by the guest speaker Dr Phil Hammond. It was then all over and we look forward to more successful times with Dental Update as it continues to publish high quality articles on dentistry.
