The European Dental Students Association conference is taking place at Birmingham.  The venue is the Medical School at the University and the Birmingham Dental Students are our terrific hosts.  On Sunday they met delegates at the Airport and New Street station, successfully navigating them to Victoria Halls of Residence.  The Conference was opened by Professor Philip Lumley, the Head of the School of Dentistry and this was followed by student speakers across Europe.  Local Birmingham speakers covered topics such “Getting started in Research”, “mobile learning” “eLearning” and “Periodontology and Systemic Health”.  There has also been a very active social programme which involves visiting many different nightclubs across the City.

Negar Mirzai and her “Blue Shirted” team of helpers (nearly 50 of them) are to be congratulated on their fantastic organisation of the meeting.
