There was a strong presence at the British Dental Association Conference that was held in Manchester from 10th to 12th April. As always it is nice to catch up with our recently qualified graduates who are keen to share their experiences from their DF1 year. There are also many of our past students who are presenting their work at the conference including Andrew Chandrapal who gave an impressive lecture on his composite skills. Birmingham Alumni Professors Anthony Roberts (Cork, Ireland) and David Bartlett (Kings College London) were presenting. Staff from Birmingham Dental School and Hospital were also flying the flag including Professors Burke and Walmsley together with Louis Mackenzie and Nick Ransford. I am sure that this report will have missed many others out which I apologise in advance. The conference was a resounding success with some key moments including a keynote speech from Lord Howe, the Coalition Minister with responsibility for dentistry.
