The School welcomed visitors from French Canada. Clinical teachers from Montreal (Universities of Montreal and McGill) and Quebec City (University of Laval) were present for a research seminar given by the Ultrasonics Group at Birmingham. There were presentations by Professor Damien Walmsley and Dr Emilia Pechova on the Scientific Basis of Ultrasonic Scalers. There were also presentations by students Nina Vyas (PSIBS and dentistry) on her work with imaging biofilm and Marco Mazevet (University of Rennes – Erasmus exchange) who provided an insight on his project with nano particles. The conference was sponsored by Dentsply International. Here we see the visitors in the Osborne room and also in Brindley Place. There was the chance to see the sights of Beautiful Birmingham.
