“Thursday 20th November was a busy day in the student common room. Students arrived in their masses to meet the 10 sponsors present over lunchtime at the dental hospital. It was a great opportunity to share details, receive some promotional material and also have a one-to-one chat. It was clear that all parties enjoyed and benefited from the event. The sponsors showed great support to the student society and its connections with the European Dental Students Association (EDSA). Each sponsor generously donated to support the EDSA’s charity outreach work and oral health initiatives in Tanzania and India.
In alphabetical order, the sponsors present were: DDU, Dental Protection, Dental Update, GSK, MedDen, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (who were represented by our very own Dr Stewardson!), Wesleyan and Work the World. Optident and IDH wish to send apologies for being unrepresented.
The event was a great success and I am sure everyone awaits the next trade fair!”
