Professor Damien Walmsley was talking at the 8th Jordanian University dental conference in his capacity as President of the Association for Dental Education in Europe. During his stay at Jordan he met up with several past dental alumni of the University of Birmingham including Prof. Kifah Jamani, Dr Firas Shani and Dr Ahmad Hamdan. All completed PhD’s at the School of Dentistry. They are all very successful in their dental careers. Professsor Walmsley took part in a round table discussion on dental education in Europe and shared the platform with Dr Lily Garcia President of the Associaiton for Dental Education in America. He also spoke on New Technologies in Dentistry, highlighting mobile phone use and MOOCs undertaken at the University of Birmingham.
There were also chances to visit the Dead Sea and Petra where several photographs were also taken.
