The Annual ADEE meeting was held in Szeged in the south of Hungary close to the Serbian border. The weather was very hot setting the scene for a successful conference. Representatives from Birmingham Dental School included Professor Damien Walmsley (President of ADEE), Professor Deborah White and Mr Upen Patel. Deborah White was appointed Editor in Chief of the European Journal of Dental Education at the conference and was seen working behind the scenes with the successful outgoing Editor Prof Michael Manogue from Leeds. Upen Patel took part in a very successful pre-meeting communication workshop entitled “Dental Educators on the Move” Communication Workshop This was a highly interactive and facilitative workshop aimed at Dental Educators wanted to explore the communication competences required for dental education. Upen also took this forward as a Special Interest Group in the main conference.
