The school is pleased to welcome Isa Magana who is a final year student at Tec de Monterrey Dental School, Mexico. Isa is here for her elective period and wishes to pursue a research project on the disruption of bacterial biofilms.
The visit has been organised via Professor Damien Walmsley and Isa will be with us for three months both working in the laboratory but also visiting the dental clinics. Once again, her visit demonstrates our excellent international links with Tec de Monterrey who is one of our partners in the Universitas 21 network. The picture shows Andrew Kalli (BDS4) who showed Isa around Cadbury’s World to provide her with a taste of Birmingham.
