All staff are allowed two boxes for personal effects, to take to the new buidling and once they are filled that is your lot. So many items I have had to throw away; momentos, gifts from past students, cups (not my Starbucks mugs collection though!), papers etc. The list goes on. As you are clearing away, you find pictures and other memories which distract you from the job in hand. Also, your rubbish is other people’s treasure. Many of the items I am throwing away are picked up by other people, amazing.
Only 3 days to go and then the door is shut and a new one opens.
