Sara Hurley, the Chief Dental Officer of England, visited the new building and was very impressed with the facilities. This is the first full working week in the School and Hospital. It has been a hectic time and the patient service is slowly starting to get organised. The CDO was accompanied by her deputy Janet Clarke who is an old friend of the School and Hospital. There were many meetings with staff who had been involved with the planning and the day to day running of the School and Hospital. Presentations to the CDO outlined how the building operates and the future vision of our activities. Then there was the opportunity to tour the building and see it in operation. I am sure that the CDO will be the first of many people that we will be interested to visit the new building.
