Celebrations for Philip

The end of term co-incided with the 60th Birthday of Philip Lumley.  This was an ideal excuse to have a celebration event especially as it will be the end of his term as Head of School (we can’t believe that he has actually completed 3 terms in total – 12 years).  As a celebration of his commitment to the School over the many years and to wish him all the very best for the future, a barbecue was held at Horton Grange.  It was the last Friday of term time and many staff were pleased that another successful Academic Year was completed.  There were speeches by the new Head of School, Iain Chapple and Deborah White the outgoing Head of Education.  The weather was ideal for an outside gathering. (How often can you say that in England?) Many people turned up to wish Philip well and as the pictures show it was a good evening.

Hope you all have a restful and relaxing holiday and see you for the start of the new term in September.
