The year of 1986 came together for their 30 year reunion. This year the venue changed from the traditional one at Staff House to the Cafeteria of the Pebble Mill Dental School. There was a tour of the facilities by Prof Lumley and Walmsley starting on the ground floor and finished in the Student’s Common Room on the Third floor where there was a champagne reception. It was a difficult tour as most of the year were keen to catch up with each of them had been doing over the last 30 years.
The Dinner was served in the restaurant and we were joined by former members of staff Prof Davenport and Dr Rock. Prof Chapple gave his first speech as Head of School to a 30 year reunion dinner and reminisced as to what was happening in 1986. The evening was then given over to stories and memories of the Year 1986 as they caught up with the past. Thanks must go to the the Arthur Thompson charitable Trust that sponsor the 30 year reunion dinner each year.
