The endodontic world converged on Brussels for a festival of Endodontology at the biennial European Society of Endodontology meeting with over 2000 participants. Birmingham had great representation at the meeting with staff and former students. Newly appointed Senior Clinical Lecturer, Josette Camilleri was an invited key note speaker and gave a wonderful presentation on Hydraulic Calcium Silicates Cements to over 800 people. Poster presentations were given by Firas Oglah, Sonia Soopen, Biraj Patel and Alice Par. The research that was presented showed real novelty and attracted great attention with requests for future collaborations. Success at the meeting was topped off with our newly appointed Clinical Lecturer, Satnam Virdee winning the ESE Wladimir Adlivankine Research Prize following submission of a praised paper and a polished oral presentation.
