After an incredible 37 years working at the School of Dentistry, Lynne Reynolds our School Administrator is retiring. Family and friends gathered in the School Restaurant to say goodbye. There were speeches by Prof Chapple and Prof Lumley who gave praise to the way Lynne has steered the school through “thick and thin” and was of great help in the biggest project of all the New Dental School at Pebble Mill. Lynne first started work at the old Dental School in July 1980 as departmental secretary for Mr Glenwright who was head of Periodontology. After 3 years she moved to work for Prof James and then Prof Anderson. She become School Manager and has since worked for more than 10 Heads of Schools/Directors. When asked what she most enjoyed about the job, it was working with the students. The students are the lifeblood of the School of Dentistry. We wish Lynne all the best on her retirement and she will no doubt be coming to visit us every so often in the years to come.
