Vancouver IADR

The last IADR meeting in Vancouver was in 1999 and twenty years later here we are back in the City. We had a large contingent over from Birmingham presenting their recent research.  The city is very accessible, and the conference centre was the ideal place to ensure that your networking skills were put to good effect.  The conference was in a new purpose built centre and it was ideal not only for delivering those oral and poster research presentations but also for viewing the harbour.  During the breaks many delegates watched the sea float planes take off or land over the harbour.

The School of Dentistry had a publicity stand that advertised its postgraduate courses in Dental Materials and the Advanced General Dental Practice MSc (Distance Learning).

The picture shows Will Palin, Birmingham, Iain Chapple, Head of the School of Dentistry, Rena D’Souza, President of IADR, Maria Emanuel Ryan, President of AADR and Mo Hadis (Birmingham)

It was the perfect place to relax and see the world go by.  Birmingham researchers gave a good account of their activity and this is only a small selection of the activity.  My own pictures were picked up by the conferencing marketing and I won a tour of the harbour in an electric boat.  Great for more picture taking, here are a few non dental pictures to enjoy.
