As a reminder this is the message from Prof Iain Chapple writes – I am pleased to announce that BDS student Hiraa Jamil has been given worthy recognition by British Dental Editors and Writers Forum for her very brave and powerful article Its Okay to Not be Okay which relates to stress, anxiety and depression.

The article was published in BDJ Student and was nominated for this year’s British Dental Editors and Writers Forum (BDEWF)  Communicators Awards and we are proud to announce that she won the runners up award of £250.

The awards are sponsored by the British Dental Industry Association and will be presented during an annual BDEWF dinner being held in London on the evening of Thursday, 31 October.
