POST Fellowship Success
Earlier this year, PhD student Sophie Mountcastle completed a three-month Fellowship at the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology. She was tasked with preparing a research briefing for MPs on the topic of Food Fraud – a world apart from her PhD research in the School of Dentistry. The Fellowship involved researching, interviewing experts, writing, and reviewing a four-page summary that was accessible to those without a science and technology background. Sophie has written about her experience working in Parliament which you can download below. Congratulations to Sophie on gaining this prestigious fellowship. This underlines the research strengths ofDentistry at the University of Birmingham and its strong interdisciplinary science interactions.
