Graduation took place in the morning and the Dentistry, Biomaterials science and Hygiene and Therapy students were all ready to receive their degrees in the Great Hall. Parents and other supporters all gathered for the ceremony and then it was time for the official photographs.

The afternoon was set aside for Prize Giving at the Dental Hospital and the guest of honour was Professor Peter Marquis, former Head of School. His speech highlighted the changes in technology that has taken place over the years and how we should be ready for the changes that will take place in the future. Following the prize giving people adjourned to the Canteen where there was plenty of Champagne and Strawberries.

Another academic year is slowly coming to a close. Graduation and Prize giving are traditionally one of the last formal occasions before the start of the summer holidays. However we have another week and a half of the term to go before a well earned rest.
