The annual Festival of Graduate Research took place at the Medical school with poster and lecture presentations. There was a good representation from Dentistry with Ilaria Chicca, (PhD 4th year) who presented her research on “Novel High-Throughput technique for screening NETs in inflammatory disorders”.
In the Poster presentations there were two posters by our other final year PhDs as follows:-
- Ali Abdulkareem on “Periodontal pathogens potentially induces epithelial-mesenchymal transition and increase secretion of transforming growth factor-β1 in a chronic periodontitis model system”.
- Nina Vyas on “Imaging cavitation around dental ultrasonic scalers and investigating its effectiveness in biofilm removal”.
Well done to those students who represented dentistry and also all the students and staff who came to support them at the Festival.
