So what does a Research Karaoke mean?

Sarah Knaggs our research administrator and Owen Addison, Senior Lecturer, introduced the Karaoke afternoon to the assembled audience of doctoral students and supervisors. There were 7 pairs of doctoral students and each were given the task of not only presenting their own research but describing the impact and significance of their partner’s work. The incentives for the afternoon were Amazon gift tokens for the lucky winners. The judges were Michelle Holder, Professor Walmsley and Dr Owen Addison. There were four prizes which included the Judges best presentation and two runners up. There was also a prize for the audience’s choice. Pictures of the day and the winners are shown below.
