The Postgraduate Dental school held the second research showcase which gave our doctoral students the opportunity to present their own work. The format of the morning included pairing up the students. in each pair the one presented their research over 3 minutes and this was followed by their colleague giving a 1 minute outline of the impact of the work. Then they swapped over. The format is very successful and allows all members of the postgraduate school whether students or supervisors to get a quick overview of the research that is taking place. The Judges (Prof Walmsley, Dr Hofmann and Parini Mankad) awarded first prize to Michael Smith and the runner up was Pip White. The audience prize went to Nina Vyas. The day was a big success and this is fast becoming an annual fixture in the School Calendar.
